My name is Peter. I wear size 31 jeans. I smile more than I frown. I get most of my great ideas while soaking in the tub. I was born in Budapest but I oppose dictatorships. My J-K-L fingers are in tiptop shape and my wrists are carpal-tunnel free. I play music, but not in a band. I’ve been editing for over 7 years, but learn something new every day.
My background has been quite diverse in both film and television. In the past 4 years, my focus has been on long-form projects in the role of editor and director. Having worked on shows for most of the major Canadian and American networks, I’ve been able to create a highly stylized visual aesthetic to all of my projects.
All the while, I still had a yearning for short-form content and continued cutting music videos, commercials, and creating motion graphics to help balance my artistic chi.
My experiences out in the field and inside the edit-suite has given me a unique view of the production process from start to end. I am comfortable and confident while working with colleagues, clients, and network execs, but by no means am I merely a ‘button pusher’. I value critique and criticism from the team and thrive in an environment that values my creative opinion as much as their own – because I truly believe that great ideas are born through collaboration. |
